Dan and Claudia Zanes

Our online interview series, hosted by Alastair Moock, engages musical pioneers like Dom Flemons (Carolina Chocolate Drops), Rissi Palmer, Dan & Claudia Zanes, Vance Gilbert, Kelly Hall-Tompkins, Pamela Means, and more in conversations about music and the work of anti-racism.

Our live events invite Boston-area suburban communities – and audiences of all ages – to engage with new ideas, perspectives, and people through music and art that promotes diversity and inclusion.

Alastair and veteran activist-performer Reggie Harris rely on their years of friendship and shared love of folk and Americana music to engage audiences of all ages in open and honest conversations about race.

Opening Doors was founded in 2021 by Alastair Moock and Stacey Babb. The project is rooted in the conviction that white people have a role to play in advancing racial justice, and that the arts can be a powerful medium for sparking advocacy.
